Michael L. Hines is a mission-driven logistics and supply chain executive with more than 20 years of experience leading high-performance operations in complex, time-critical environments. As the Founder and CEO of Hawkeye Logistics Group, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) he delivers integrated logistics, supply chain optimization, and freight brokerage solutions designed to perform under pressure.

A retired U.S. Army First Sergeant and former Special Operations logistician, Michael built his career sustaining operations in environments where disruption was constant, and logistics systems were often limited or nonexistent. He spent almost 2 decades within the Special Operations community with the 160th SOAR as last assignment. Operating independently in austere and high-risk conditions, he identified, developed, and executed logistics pipelines from the ground up leveraging local resources, unconventional networks, and real-time decision-making to maintain operational continuity.

This experience established the foundation for his approach today: logistics is not a static system, but a dynamic network that must be anticipated, adapted, and protected. Michael specializes in designing resilient supply chains, optimizing transportation networks, and implementing asset visibility solutions that enable organizations to operate effectively in both stable and contested environments.

Under his leadership, Hawkeye Logistics Group, LLC provides mission-ready solutions across supply chain strategy, warehouse design and operations, asset and inventory management, contested logistics analysis, and freight brokerage services. The company applies military-grade discipline, accountability, and precision to deliver measurable results for government and commercial clients alike.

 

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Analysis and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management. He is also recognized as a Demonstrated Master Logistician and brings a proven track record of leading teams, managing multimillion-dollar resources, and solving complex logistics challenges where failure is not an option.
